Parenting is the most important and challenging job you will ever undertake. Raising your children is a profound responsibility, yet we often receive no preparation for this challenge.

Emotional control—including your words and tone of voice—centers on awareness. Unfortunately, many of us grew up without learning to tune in to our emotions, reacting instead on autopilot to unexpected behaviors.

It is entirely possible to communicate effectively with your children, who, like adults, have their own feelings, needs, and desires. To reduce conflicts and tantrums, your children need recognition, acceptance, and love.

Mindfulness empowers you to become aware of your feelings and choose how to respond. It equips you with the patience needed to handle parenting challenges and enables you to be the role model your children require for self-regulation.

As a Mindfulness Coach, I’ll guide you in understanding what mindfulness truly means. Together, we’ll cultivate a mindset that fosters a peaceful and loving family atmosphere, where everyone feels heard, respected, accepted, and loved.


This is what Ana says about her experience of working with me:

My mindfulness journey with Joanna  started in April 2021. I saw a post about Parenting Coaching in MindfulKids method on Facebook and I felt interested in finding out how it would help my family. 
 
I had a little bit of knowledge about mindfulness but I had not implemented its principles in my life until I became curious in working with Joanna. 
 
There is a sense of easiness and space in each session that it allowed me to relax and open myself up and explore the triggers of my parenting. While the method focuses on important tools we can apply to everyday life, I was also allowed to dig a little bit of my past and see how it shaped my attitude towards parenting.  For each session there was one topic to discuss (eg. compassion) and I was provided with exercises I could do at home with the kids or just for myself. The best teaching I got was finding my way to meditation. I conquered the resistance of trying and finally did understand the benefits and the subsequent tranquility it has brought to my life. I feel more calmer, relaxed and practice daily compassion towards myself which automatically reflects on my family.  Transformation is not the right word to express what happened inside of me. I feel tremendously grateful for Joanna's  compassionate and loving approach, her  willingness to help others, and I would recommend anyone to work with her.

During our 8 weeks of coaching, I will contact you halfway through each week for a 15-minute session to answer any questions you may have.

One winter evening I got home with my kids. They were tired and crying. I remember sitting at my kitchen table looking at them and thinking why they get upset so much? What puts them in such state and how I can help them?

Intuitively I knew there was something I was doing that was fuelling my kids´behaviour but I didn´t know what it was. Many times before I had promised myself to be more patient and not add to my kids´ frustrations, but failed. On that particular evening I decided I needed to look for help and my journey to transform our lives begun.

I still get upset and keep learning but I have come a long way and am able to be there, understand and support my kids through the most challenging of times.
